Who ARE Squirtsdawgamber Anyway?

Good question! The human part of the operation is composed of Tom & Beverly Clark. Tom is a special education teacher while Beverly is a paralegal, currently at home managing the feline portion of our little endeavor; Squirts, Dawg, and Amber. Yes, we are cat people! When deciding to dive into online sales we wanted to make sure our name and logo stood out, so we combined the names of our cats (yes...Dawg IS a cat... With an identity disorder, perhaps) and came up with the logo.

What can we Offer?

We offer great communication and personal service for people who wish to sell their items on eBay. We will gladly research your item, provide an estimate of its "worth" based on current auction trends, clean your item for presentation, take all of the photos and post your item into an auction format using custom webpage design for an eye catching presentation. At auction end, we package up the item, solicit shipping rates, contact the winning bidder, arrange for shipping, complete all necessary paperwork and deliver the item to the shipper.

How does this Stuff Work, Anyway?

Contact us by phone or through email with a description of your item and any background information you can provide. We will research your item before listing to try and ascertain its actual worth, and estimated "worth" from current and ended auctions for the same or similar items. We have found that the actual worth of an item and what it is "worth" in an auction format can vary greatly. Some items which you may think will be worth lots of money, do not sell or sell for low amounts while other items which you might not think twice about are selling very high. eBay represents a very pure form of the "supply and demand" concept. I use the analogy of fishing... You cast your line (list your item) and if someone out there is "hungry" it will be snapped up. Sometimes you may have to re-cast that same line before you hit the "big one". =)

Fees and Such

eBay makes it money by charging "use" fees to support the auction. Your two primary fees from eBay are a "Listing fee", usually between $1.00 to $1.85 depending upon the type of auction designed, and a "final value fee" based on the ending price of the item. Between the two, you can count of spending between 8% to 10% of your total item worth on eBay fees. For instance, an item which sells for $20.00 usually has eBay fees of about $2.00. eBay fees are constant! That is, no matter if you use a consignment service or decide to list the item yourself, you will pay the same fee from eBay.

Squirtsdawgamber online sales makes its money through the application of a "Consignment fee". Our standard consignment fee is 25% of the final value price of an item. To use the analogy above, if an item sells for $20.00, OUR fee is $5.00.
